Cheryl Renella is the owner of Channing’s Studio and Spa, an upscale salon nestled in the heart of Chicago’s iconic Gold Coast neighborhood on Oak Street.
With over 40 years of experience in the beauty industry, she has perfected the art of corrective eyebrow shaping, garnering her significant media attention and multiple, “Best of Best” honors and has been fortunate to call Angelina Jolie, Whitney Houston, Julia Roberts, Vince Vaughn, and numerous other high-profile names her clients.
She’s done work for hit television shows and movies in LA, spent time on set in New York for Fashion Week, and accompanied European tours such as the Rolling Stones as a freelance artist. Cheryl is also Chicago’s go-to for eyelash and brow tinting, customized skin care treatments, professional make-up application/lessons, and more!
Our Aesthetician Brittany
Brittany has been an aesthetician for 13 years during which she has gained knowledge and experience in all aspects of the skin. From working in spas as Lead Aesthetician and trainer, to Medical Assisting as an aesthetician in dermatology, Brittany combines her expertise with her passion for all her client’s skin care needs.
She specializes in custom skincare regimens, customized hydrafacials, dermaplaning, chemical peels, microchanneling, and Yumilash Lifts. She believes no two faces are the same and takes a personalized approach with every client that visits her.
In her spare time Brittany enjoys travelling to her home state of Michigan, or spends time on the lake with her 2 dogs, Lola and Dakota.
Our Aesthetician Amy
Amy is delighted to be rejoining the team at Channing’s Studio and Spa.
She brings with her over 20 years of working as a licensed esthetician in many aspects of the beauty and skincare industry. Amy loves meeting new people and offering her knowledge and expertise to ensure her clients have a topnotch, relaxing, and thoroughly enjoyable spa treatment.
Amy also likes to spend her free time taking long walks by the lake and soaking in the city and nature. She specializes in variety of facials from acne to anti-aging and much more!

Our Aesthetician Namiko
Namiko was introduced to a variety of bodywork practices growing up in Japan. In her 20s, she moved to Colorado, where she lived for over a decade and developed a passion for running, skiing, hiking, and cycling. She began her career in health and wellness as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance, specializing in Iyengar yoga. Namiko taught at Craig Hospital, a renowned rehabilitation center for brain and spinal cord injuries.
Inspired by her patients’ dedication to healing and improving their health, she later pursued training in John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release (MFR) therapy, a profound form of bodywork. She traveled across the U.S. to deepen her expertise and is now a certified Advanced MFR therapist. In addition, Namiko incorporates modern cupping, stretch therapy, lymphatic drainage, and Ashiatsu into her practice. Namiko is currently finishing up her Masters in Eastern Medicine at the Chicago College of Oriental Medicine.
