Microchanneling
Microchanneling is a stamp-like device with uniform wire-based filaments that are used to puncture the skin. It is less abrasive and more effective than microneedling.During microchanneling, small wire-based filaments are used with microscopic channels to exfoliate the epidermis. Unlike microneedling, microchanneling offers a less abrasive experience. It is minimally invasive and described as painless.
You will typically notice an improvement in the quality and appearance of your skin within the first 24 hours. After 2-3 treatments a thicker, more robust, collagen filled cellular matrix will produce more consistent and noticeable improvement.
6 or more treatments may be recommended for scarring, laxity and wrinkles. Exomes or Hyaluronic Acid are applied to the skin before the treatment to enhance collagen and elastin. This prepares the skin for the treatments which will enable new collagen to grow, causing your skin to tighten and look younger.
What is microchanneling?
Microchanneling is the next generation of microneedling.
It is a non-invasive procedure resulting in little to no downtime and more effective than the traditional microneedling.
Microchanneling creates thousands of uniform micro-channels/micro-injuries into the skin which in turn stimulates your body’s natural healing process; resulting in the formation of new collagen and elastin in the skin. Over time this will help with the overall texture and appearance of the skin.
A series of 3-6 treatments every 4 weeks is recommended for best results.
What does microchanneling target?
- acne scars
- large pore size
- stretch marks
- laxity
- fine lines and wrinkles
- uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation
- hair loss
