Cheryl Renella
Founder and Eyebrow Maestro

Cheryl Renella was just 23 when she opened Channing’s Spa in Chicago’s prestigious Gold Coast on Oak Street, establishing it as a haven for personalized beauty and brow artistry. With over 40 years of experience in the beauty industry, she has perfected the art of corrective eyebrow shaping, garnering her significant media attention and multiple “Best of Best” honors. She has been fortunate to call Angelina Jolie, Whitney Houston, Julia Roberts, Vince Vaughn, and numerous other high-profile names as her clients.
She has worked in New York for Fashion Week, accompanied European tours such as the Rolling Stones as a freelance artist, and continues to freelance on International projects. Cheryl is also Chicago’s go-to for eyelash and brow tinting, customized skin care treatments, professional make-up application/lessons, and more!
Cheryl champions a tweeze-only approach – eschewing waxing entirely. Each shaping session is tailored to the clients unique bone structure and orbital contour, with clients lying down for precision – giving her an artist’s view of the full canvas.
Featured repeatedly in publications like Allure, Modern Luxury, Chicago Magazine and In Style, she’s celebrated for delivering transformative, face-slimming brow services -often touted as the “next best thing to an eye lift”! Cheryl is more than a beauty veteran – she’s a visionary who has elevated eyebrow shaping into its own specific art form. Sustaining excellence for over four decades speaks to her passion, technique and dedication.
Cheryl Renella’s legacy continues to shape Chicago’s beauty scene.
